Where it differs: at 19 inches wide and 10 inches deep, this is much bigger than the PM. It does not reverse and its pocket is built in rather than a separate pouch. Prints vary across Amazon listings; check that the linked ASIN is the Original Deano, not the zip-top Deluxe version.

Can a printed tote give you the same thing?

A chevron print alone does not tell you whether the bag reverses, whether the pouch detaches or whether the handles feel right with the bag full. Look at the inside, the bottom seam and the product title. A generic bag using Goyard’s name or logo without being made by Goyard calls for more scrutiny.

If your goal is the exact Goyardine print, there is no honest substitute for an authentic Saint Louis. For secondhand luxury bags, the FTC advises checking seller protections and return terms. Confirm authenticity procedures with the seller before paying.

The material claim deserves a second look

These four are not the same textile with four different prints. Goyard lists Goyardine with a linen and cotton reverse side. Lacoste lists a PVC outer for the Anna. BAGGU uses nylon. The Montana West listing describes vegan leather. Materials change how a bag bends, cleans and feels on the shoulder.

Nor does a “reusable” label, by itself, prove an environmental advantage. The U.S. EPA prioritizes reducing and reusing materials. A peer-reviewed review of textile reuse and recycling explains that reuse benefits depend on the new production it displaces. This is general textile research, not a lifecycle comparison of these bags. Choose a bag you will keep carrying rather than assuming the material label settles the question.

Is the Goyard Saint Louis PM reversible?

Yes. Goyard says the unlined PM can be carried with Goyardine showing or turned inside out to show its linen and cotton side.

Which alternative is both reversible and comes with a pouch?

The Lacoste Anna is the closest match on those two features. BAGGU’s Medium Nylon Reversible Tote also turns inside out and includes a clipped flat zip pouch, but its nylon body and snap closures feel like a different kind of bag.

Does the Saint Louis have a zipper?

Goyard describes an open tote with a removable inside pocket. The pouch holds smaller items; the PM listing does not specify a full top zip. If a secure top zip is essential, compare the Goyard Artois separately or choose a zip-top alternative.

Is the SCOUT Original Deano the same size as a Saint Louis PM?
